Hi to all on the adoption journey,
I am the mom of two wonderful boys 14 and 7 yrs.old. We have wanted a third child for some time and feel the best way to complete our family is by adopting our daughter fom China. We finished our paper work and our dossier was sent to China on April 13,05. So now we start our wait our agency (Alliance for Children in Mass.) has told us that referrals are holding steady at 6 months.I would love to hear from anyone currently waiting or anyone in our time frame good luck to all. Hope to hear soon.

I'm a little bit ahead of you in the time game, but I am also waiting. Hubby and I were LID on Jan 27...so we are pretty much in with the February referrals. We should hopefully be receiving our referral in Aug and travellin in either Sept. or Oct. (I hope Sept!)

I'm spending most of my waiting time getting the nursery together, reading about parenting, and taking advantage of the alone time with hubby. (Lydia will be our first and probably only child.) So far the wait hasn't been too bad...but I hear it gets more nerveracking as you go along.

We are LID 1/19/05, and should be getting a referral in July (keeping fingers crossed that CCAA stays at 6 months), and we figure travel in Aug or Sept.

Hi Lissa, I just started to get our nursery ready ,we got a white crib and white dresser so far.I have to decide on what color to paint the room, after two boys I'm tempted to do everything in pink. Well at least this will give me something to do to help pass the time. Also I'm reading a great book right now it's Wanting a Daughter needing a Son. Hope you travel in Sept. speak to you soon.

I couldn't handle pink...there is pink in her room, but the walls are lavender and her bedding/curtains etc. is blue. I also went with white furniture though. We are going with a fairy theme. Very cool.

I totally understand the peaks and valley's thing. Today has been a valley--but usually I'm pretty peaky, so it's not been too difficult a wait.

I love this (and another) forum I'm on...in part because it helps me realize I'm not alone. It validates alot of my emotions and concerns, and I get a lot of different perspectives--so it keeps me thinking. !

Just wanted to say hi to all the LI moms! One here from Rockville Centre. We have yet to submit an application- and are in the process of choosing an agency. I would love to know who you guys chose to work with- as I am concerned about working with an agency far away- but am not that thrilled with the ones I have researched in NY. Also- would be very interested in knowing where you id your homestudy. If you would be so kind to pm me I would love to hear from you!

After three boys- I would do everything in pink!!!!! And- cannot wait!!!!!
