Do referrals typically come at a particular time of the month? From my (very brief) observations, it seems like the referrals come towards the middle/end of the month.

And it also seems like there are "cutoffs" towards the end fo the month based on LIDs. So the months are more like "end of August to end of September" as opposed to all those with LIDs in September being bunched together and receiving referrals together.

Can someone who has been observing this longer (and with more attention) comment?

Unfortunately, there is no pattern. We received our referral on December 10 last year and referrals were for all of June 2004 LID's, I believe. Sometimes they issue a full month, sometimes half months, sometimes a month and a half or more worth, etc., etc. They don't have a set pattern at all, which is what makes it so interesting!!!

I completely concur with dangerlucy. I have used the middle of the month however to give my official "guesstimate" of travel time to my work. They are aware however it is a GUESSTIMATE!!!

Very frustrating.

hmmmm...well, that helps. I had thought that if referrals typically came at the same time each month (and I guess it might not even be a "month" apart if it's pretty unpredictable) we might be able to time things to try to avoid a busy time for hubby at work. I guess we'll just see how things go! thanks!

From what I have seen, it looks like there is usually a batch at the beginning of the month and sometimes a batch in the middle. You might check the montly DTC websites via the china connection website. People often post their significant dates there.
