I love reading the threads on this board, but I would love to hear from anyone from Australia who has adopted from China. How long was the wait, from time of application to time you received your child? Also, what did the Home Study involve? What was the cost? Can you claim a tax credit, like in America? Last of all, what agency did you use? Sorry for all the questions, but there doesn't seem to be many posts from Australia, so I would really love some first-hand information.

I'm australian but don't live in australia.
but i have done some research and if you are an australian citizen residing in australia you have to go through the state social services department that you live in.
It is not like America where they have licensed agencies that help you.
The wait in Australia is unfortunatley about 4 years.
If i return to live in Australia it will be my intention to try and change these laws.
