Hello...I was adopted throught the DC Department of Human Services on 8/7/1946. My birthdate is 6/22/1946. I am trying to locate my birth mother/and or any family members or information regarding birth family health. I was told that my birth mother's name was May Lid**** and that my birth name was Faith Lid****. My adoptive name is Sandra Frances Farmer. My adoptive parents are now deceased. I was adopted through the Department of Human Services in Washington, DC to parents in Fairfax, VA. The DC Department of Human Services holds my sealed birth records.

I was told that my birth mother, May Lid**** was 17 and unmarried when I was born. I think that she may have been from Perry County in PA. I was also told that she was raised by her elderly grandmother whos name was Margaret Slocum. The adoption might have been through catholic charities or children's protective services. If you have any information about me or my birth family, I need to know for health reasons. Thanks!!!
