Male adoptee still in search of any birth family born in St Petersburg, Florida ,Mounds Park Hosptial B Mother was 22 stayed at Florence Crittenton Home... b mother only child b father had one sister. Children's Home Society handled adoption , b father has been located he is 71 and "lives up north somewhere it is very cold" he is divorced, retired and has two sons who are the adoptees half siblings CHS has not finished the legal paper work for contact they are very slow; b mom still MIA but apparently still living, currently 68 years of age most likely spent her career as a teacher. Case worker has called back B Mom still not found. B father was in advertising. parental half brothers are currently 35 and 37 years old. b father has not sent paper work back yet to agency but case worker was going to call him again tonight. also we have learned the"inherited" blood disorder that our youngest daughter has must have come from one of my husbands b parents ,as my entire family except my daughter have tested negative. My husbands blood work is still not in yet.

Thanks for your reply. I just wanted to send a private message instead of posting on the board for everyone to read. God bless you in your search. I've hired Omnitrace to do my searching. They found the birthfather with no problem, even though I haven't seen or heard from him in 38 years. That's my sons age. I've been advised against paying CHS for any research info because of what you just told me. I don't have 600.00 to spare. I'm sorry your husbands birthfather has an attitude about the whole matter. As a mother, my heart breaks when I hear of situations like this. I hope my son is searching for me, but if not, and if found wants no contact, then I can accept that. But parents don't have the right to ignore their own child. Sorry about the soapbox. I would like to stay in contact if that's alright with you and your husband. If not I fully understand. i think you may have misunderstood, the b father does not have an a bad attitude he has a great very open attitude... he is all for contact , it is the case workers error in not sending the paper work a month ago....as for the $600.00 I dont have money to spare either but to find my husbands family I found it , much better then $3500.000 kinsolving wants, just wanted to clarify

okay , now we are 95% sure the case worker has located the b mom, from what we gather she is living in Florida has at least three other children unsure if they are male or female,, she is denying being the b mom but too much lines up ,, I feel so for her.. how sad to have carried this secret for so many years, to have suppressed the birth of her first born child,,, I am guessing she has never told her husband or other children about the child she gave birth to on April 28.1958. How sad she cannot find the courage to come forth and stop living with this heart wrenching experience from 46 years ago. How sad for my husband who has his whole life thought of himself as an only child to in a months time find he has two half brothers on this b fathers side and at least 3 half siblings on his b moms side. How sad for all, you know seems to me no body wins......
