How prepared are you for some emergency, fire, flood, hurricane etc?

I would have to say not really prepared. But this is a good point to really begin the conversation more with my children. Thanks for bring up this important issue that I know we always think "it won't happen to us so we don't need to discuss".

Not very prepared. We used to stay prepared, but then kids came along and well, you'd think we'd be more prepared now!

We used to keep jugs of water for an emergency, as well as non-perishable foods and extra clothes/shoes in a water proof container.

Hmmm, maybe we need to start back again. We DO practice fire safety and getting out of the house in a fire.
