I gave my daughter up for adoption through catholic charities. She was born Aug.23,1971 in Buffalo N.Y. . I have no idea on how to go about finding her. The only thing I knew to do was to regester in Albany. That was 4 yrs. ago. I just got my comp. so I could try and find her on my own but this is the only site I am regestered at because I don't know of any other. If you could help me I would be very very greatful. Hi I was adopted through catholic charities,in Pennsylvania,they are no help to me at,they won't tell me a thing. I was born 5/23/60 in Philadelphia Pa. at St. Vincents Hospital. The agencey that I was adopted through was catholic charities. I have hit a brick wall,I have searched all the places on the internet there is to search,even searched the local paper in Pa. in birth announcments. I have posted messages all over the place. Where else can I look? I tried all the Pa. places to look ,made phone calls all with no luck. What else can I do? I don't want to give up,or get an attorney,that costs money. If I had money that would be different,I could use a litgit agencey . Help please.

Please try to contact Rita at Catholic Charities at 215-854-7054. She was very, very nice to me in looking for my adoptions records through Catholic Charities. It turned out that there was no records of my adoption, may have been private, however she can point you to the right direction if your records are not through Philadelphia Catholic Charities. You can contact the courts and for a fee, they will look to see if your adoption was put through the Philadelphia court system. This is what happened to me recently. Hope this helps. Again, this is what I just went through to begin my search.

I was born in what I believe was named Denver County Hospital in Denver, Colorado on April 25th, 1967. I am a male of Italian and German descent and I was adopted the following Mother's day. That is about all I know of my birth information, any help would be appreciated.
