Looking B.M. from NM-GLORIA-1956

I am currently helping my sister-in-law look for her birth mother. She was born in a Catholic hospital in Gallup NM on 4/1/56. The only info we have is that her birth mother's name was "GLORIA" and that she was from Grand Rapids Michigan. My sster-in law was told that she had one, possibly two older children and was divorced at the time. She has been looking for her B/M for a long time. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

1978 ADOPTION

This is grasping for straws, but my sister had a baby born 4/78 at Barksdake Air Force Base, La. (Federal Hosp.). She was still a New York State resident at the time. The baby's birthname was Melissa Ann and was adopted through Catholic Charities. I have assumed that the child's birth state would list Louisiana.

What are the odds you find your b parents?

I'm in the situation where i know somebody is adopted and they do not. I know that the person was adopbted through a Catholic charity in new york. I also know what part of new york her parents were from.. I am debating as to weather or not i should tell her because i don't want to ruin her life by geting her obsessed with finding her b-parents. Can somebody tell me what the odds are that she would find her b parents. I'd really like to know. Thanks for your time.

Web Sites??

Does anyone have any good websites to search for people with only first names and towns? I'm trying to do this search on my own but there's thousands of sites and I'm trying to go through one by one and it's ridiculous. Got any clues?

I am sick and I'm seek information about my mother. I know she was born in KY and the lived in Lake County, IN. Her birthdate is 11-26-1960, and her last name is Davis. Her first name could possibly be Celeste. Do you know a way that I could confirm her birthdate with her name, or possibly a way to receive medical information about her? Any information would be greatly appreciated!!

Birth mom

Greetings! I have registered with this site but was drwan to respond. I had "help" from Cath Charities (oswego County, Oswego, NY in relinquishing (at birth) my birth daughter. She was born June of 1980, and there is scanty and INCORRECT or "untraceable " info still on file with Cath Charities( now all counties are housed in Onondaga Co). The gentleman I contacted there did confirm some info, but said the way the info was kept was strange and he could not trace any further. My case helper was a Cynthia Lorch-Miller. The case was opened 4/4/80 and "closed" 8-8-80. I have a reference to a court proceeding the following April (1980) thast took place in Oswego Courts which I'm told appears to be an adoption matter, yet I was told upon relinquishment that the child would NOT be p[laced in Oswego Co, but rather Onondaga. I've hesitated to register with the state as I do not have the exact day of birth. Can I find out if indeed the child wasn't officially adopted til 10 months after birth, if by chance the foster care interim would have kept her name given at birth? Do most parents then change a name if the child has been called Carolyn for 10 mo.? Any reply would be greatly appreciated. I've done as much detective work as I could manage in the past two months, but seem to have hit a wall. Thanks for your time! Michelle McCann Fulton, NY

How do you find the free volunteer assistance for adoptees from catholic charities? my husband was adopted in 1975. He was born aug.20 1975 and the adoption was finalized march 11 1976 (i think thats what a letter from the attorney says) i also know that after him she had another baby up for adoption. she was 16 when she had him. guide me in the right way.
