CC has my file, YEAH?
I can't believe CC really has my file. I sent a request over 9 months ago with my $25.00 to see if they have it and they do. They have enough information on file to complete a non-id report of my birth family. They sent a packet of questions for me to answer and return with $50.00.
My question is, how do I answer these questions? Honestly or tell them what I think they want to hear? For example: What is your motivation for conducting this search and why have you chosen to iniate at this time? What are your expectations? There are 18 questions in all. But when thinking about these two in particular, there are two ways to answer them. One is to come across like I don't care to meet them if they don't want to meet me, I'm just looking for medical background and the other is to let them know that I really want to meet them. Anyone with any input either way would be greatly appreciated

answering CC
I don't know if this will help, but let me tell you how I answered those very same questions. I was succinctly honest. I didn't go into great detail, but neither did I give them what I thought they would "want to hear". If your motivation is good, your answers will be fine. I think what they are really interested in is how you answer - what kind of a personality are they dealing with. So be honest, and the very best to you! I so hope all goes well for you!
Many blessings to you, MKW |

Catholic Charities adoptees
Hi.
I too was adopted by CC... I sent them money and they sent me a two page letter about my parents (non identifying ID)...I was stymied by the info they sent...because I didn't think I would find out that much... I dont' know what the questionnaire is you're talking about, but they told me that if I sent them a certain amount of money, they would help me find my biological parents...I would like to know what else you found out...I haven't pursued that option yet, but I would like to...anybody else, who has done so and been succcesful, let me know...I'm dying to find out... |
