Hello, my name is Amy Sedlmayer. I was born in Chicago, Illinois on April 14, 1971. My birthname was GEORGIA L. KELLEY.
As all of St. Vincent's records have been taken over by Catholic Charities, I thought I'd try my search here. I am looking for my Bmom/Family.
I am in need of family medical records and I would like to meet any family who would like to meet me.

When I began my search my adopted parents gave me their petition for adoption. From the Chicago Circut Court. It has my full birthname (Georgia Lynn Kelley) and my new adopted name of Amy Sedlmayer on it. It also has the petition number and the judge's name on it. It was very nice of them to give me to help.
All of my birthmothers information I do not have. I need to petition the courts for my birthrecords and original birth certificate etc. I'm just guessing my bmoms surname is Kelley?

how are you going to do that. That sounds like a great idea. how would one petition for a petition to the courts. please help.
Is it something that involves others, lawyers, or many people. ugh?

I will let you know when I go. I believe I just go to the court house in the county where i was adopted and ask for the proper forms. Then I am told I will receive a copy of my original birth certificate. This information may be completely inacurate though.
I'm new at this but I will let you know. I intend on going next week.
