St Josephs, Maternity Home, Sharonville OH

Why is there no information anywhere about St Joseph's no website, no mention of it here under the Maternity home list.
Hundreds of Babies were surrendered through there. What happened to them, why don't we hear from them.

Hi! I, too, have tried to contact St. Josephs Maternity Home, with no success. On another web site, they told me to contact the Salvation Army, who was supposed to inherit all the paperwork, but once again, failed to obtain any information. Are you an Adoptee? Birth Parent/Family? What dates are you looking for?

Cathy, I'm a B-mom, I found my daughter through an awesome search angel on this site and one of her friends. Were you at St joes? what year? I was there in 1975. I may be able to put you in touch with them. My reunion didnt work out but I now I know my daughter is alive and I have 3 grandchildren and thats enough for the moment.

What year were you there? The Maternity Home is no longer there and hasn't been for years. (not exactly sure when though) I was there in 1971, but the adoption was out of Catholic Charities in Dayton. Your records may be in one of the CCC in Cinci????
I hope this helps.

I would love to reunited with all of the ladies from St Josephs in late 1975, We only had first names due to
privacy so I don't know how to reach them,
Constance, Loradonna, Nika (Aka) Julie.....If any of you are searching please write. I would love to hear from you.

St Josephs

St Joes in Sharonville was closely associated with St Joseph's Orphanage located on Edalbert Drive. The latter housed "troubled" adolescents.

Catholic Charities placed alot of young children in the Edalbert Drive location.

I hope this will help with your search.

Hello! I was at St. Joes' in 1975 from around July to December. I was very shy and don't remember anyone's name. They made me go by my middle name "Joan" because they said they already had a Patricia. My most vivid memories are playing card games like Spades, and taking walks down the driveway and taking Science class, and going to chapel. Would love to hear more from anyone that was there.

Info St. Joseph

I too am an adoptee from St. Joseph (9-10-1975). Several years ago (2001-2002), I contacted Catholic Charities of Southwest Ohio (post adoption services) and requested information. They happily and at least at the time, provided non-identifying information to me.

I recently searched via common internet search engines using the terms "catholic charities cincinnati" and once again located the website for them. Conduct a search and then click contacts and there is a person identified and email address for the post-adoption person.
