Is anyone working with them? How are they with fees? That is ne of our major concerns b/c we can not afford 30,000 for an adoption.

Thanks

Well honestly, we are trying to find the most economical method to adopt. Our pockets are not as big as our need for a child. How is it going about it independently????

It depends on how much you put into it and want to spend on advert. word of mouth etc...we paid 600.00 for the homestudy and 500.00 for a retainer with an adoption attorney in Wa state. We are on on adoption.com that costs's, but we didn't do that until almost two yrs had gone by, wish we had done it sooner. We are setting up a little nursery to be ready in case of a last minute call, just the needed items. So it depends on you, i feel enpowered to go out and speak for myself, facilatators can be expensive, a friend spent 7000 for this service but had a baby girl onr month later who matched perfectly to her.We, like you arent wealthy, but have drive and love to go the distance. Good luck to you! Joanne

If you are willing to adopt an older child instead of an infant, the costs are minimal. Please feel free to contact me if you want any more information about older child adoption.

My husband and I are looking to adopt a boy between the ages of 4-8. We are working with a wonderful agency in MI and don't expect to have to pay anything. I know other agencies have you pay for the legal paperwork...about $100.

Good luck in your journey and God bless!!
