Relgion preference in birthparents?
I am just curious... being a birthparent three years ago, I didn't have a religion preference in the adoptive couples because at the time I wasn't actively involved with the local church.
Now since marrying a Pastor, I've come to question whether there are any adoptive parents out there who want birthparents from certain religious backgrounds. I do know personally that a lot of birthmoms will look for families of a certain religion... I also know many other things are important, but is religion a quality that you seek in your birthmom? |

I don't have a religous preference per say. Since we are hoping for a fully open adoption I imagine that we might connect better with someone with a similar faith. As long as they were tolerant/considerate of our religous preferences I have no religous preferences.

We, as it turned out, were the same religion as Hunter's birthmother...even though she was not a practicing Catholic.
But as far as a preference, no I did not/would not have any. Good question!
