We are a licenced home in s. CA. We have our homestudy done and completed as of May 1999. We have been foster parents for 2 years.

Now, we found a little girl on this site that we are VERY interested in and have written an 'interest' form to the social worker. NO reply...I wote to this site, also for help to Wendy.
Again, NO response. This is very frustrating! Does anyone have any suggestions? I've spoken to our social worker and she is very willing to advocate for us but there is no way to find out who the social worker of children are on this site.

We'd like to have a chance to adopt this girl if there is any possibility but how are we to know? We are a bit discouraged and not sure if the listings are even real at this point.

Would a social worker have any advice for us at this point? This little girl is in Texas we believe, her statement is a bit strange.

We are in the same position with a little boy from texas. Our home study is current (Sept 2004) and I have sent a request to the caseworker twice regarding more information on this child. He has a lot of medical problems & we need to know a little more about him before we can even begin to explore whether we are the right family for him. I'm so anxious to see what anyone has to say about this!!!

Dmommab, I even went to the Texas site, she's not shown on that site. I can't find her on any other site either. It's confusing because she shows she's in Texas and she has one sister that is supposedly in TN??? go figure...You might do what I did...go to the Texas site directly. They have a searcher there that you can use the childs first name..there are several options for searching their site...Texas has some neat kids! Good luck!

Thanks so much! ANY answer at this point would be nice....this little girl has a name so close to the baby we almost got to adopt...long sad story....but now we have picked ourselves up and hoping one more time...
