Michigan adoption laws

My daughter lives in Michigan. She had three children when she moved there and married a man from Michigan. He adopted one of her children. Now she is wanting to divorce him . I am wondering if there is a way that she can have the adoption annuled if they { father and mother} both agree to it.

No, a legal adoption cannot be annulled.

No.

The only way his legal tie to the child can be severed is if the mother marries another man and that man adopts the child. -The same step-parent adoption that he did. But since that's what created this question in the first place I'd hardly advise her to do that.

Not unless there is someone to step in and adopt.

The birthfather can also do an adoption…if that’s an option.

Is there a specific reason why this man’s rights to his child should be terminated?

Question

Has anyone thought about the children in this situation? OMG! Who's important here? I'm sorry, I don't mean to sound cruel...but you have to think about the messages these children are getting in all this.
When something is said, what are they hearing and thinking?
