good bye visit w/ bmom???

Hello,
I am a fostermom preparing to adopt my foster child that her bmom and bdad's rights are being terminated on neglect charges.

She is 6 (in 2 weeks) and has some attachments issues (mild RAD behaviors) She was assessed at a trauma assessment center that is how we know, BUT her FIA counselor "claims" the RAD is not true and thinks a good-bye visit with her bmom will help her attach.

I am her 2 foster home b/c she couldn't attach at 1st foster home and we didn't know about RAD at that time.

I think this will traumatize her further and cause her to fantasize even more about bmom. She fantasizes about her bfamily a lot and doesn't admit to any neglect or anything.

Suggestions would be appreciated or if you know of any stats on "good bye visits" Thank you
Keleigh
