I am hoping to get my Masters in Social Work - - I was wondering if there's anyone out there who has their M.S.W. and what they are doing career-wise. Thanks!

I have an MSW and a PsyD. I worked as a child psychologist. Where are you getting your MSW?

I have been accepted to the University of MI MSW program. I start in the fall. I hope to work with kids in transition, as well as continue the work I do with adoptive parents and birthparents. My degree will concentrate on interpersonal practice.

I graduated 2000 with my MSW. AS far as working i am a computer administrator for an engineering company. Have to pay the bills feed kids. Oh well when my wife gets through school and baby is in school I will think about jumping into Social Work.

CSW LI NY
Hi - I graduated from Stony Brook University with MSW - CSW 2 months later. I have been working at the university as a Diversity & Affirmative Action Specialist for the last three years. I have also been teaching and advising a living learning center program in Service-Learning (which is a lot like social work - shhhh)
I love what I do. Even though I am more a macro social worker than clinical - - i work with a lot of udnergrad students so I still get to deal with problems (lol) I loved getting my degree at SBU, but if you are young (I got my degree after working a bit) I would say go to the best school you can get into and don't worry about the student loans - the gov will wait 30 years, but you are only young once! Good luck - pm if you have questions about grad school! ![]()
