have to be 35 to adopt from Haiti?

The one agency I looked at that does Haiti adoptions (I know there are many agencies) says you have to be 35 to adopt from Haiti, but I swear I remember younger people adopting from there. Is this an agency requirement or am I wrong in thinking you didn't have to be 35?

NO, that is an agency requirement. The program we are going through is 28 years old. (Actually only I am 28--well, 29 now... DH is 26.)

PM me if you are interested.

Must be an agency requirement. I have friends that are under that mark and are going throught the final stages to get the 3 girls they are adopting out of Haiti.

I've recently been told by all the agencies I asked(a few) that we would be fine to adopt from Haiti at our ages. DH and I will both be 30 this spring.

A couple years ago we were going to start the process, and even then, one or two agencies said we could do it. We were 28 at the time.

I would just ask each agency what they accept. (which you have probably done by now since this post is a wk old)
