Can anyone help us learn how to get more money to use toard our adoption, PLease! We make about $25,000 a year and we are taking it slow because of this! Lets face it, teachers don't make very much money. Thanks, Kim & Clark

Have you thought about a personal line of credit??
This, in essence, is a "loan" that has a limit amount (like $75,000) and a very low interest rate (at present, in Ontario, it is less than 5%) and you only use what you need, as you need it, and only pay interest on the portion you are using at the time. So, say you need $20,000 to adopt- you can get a line of credit for as high as your collateral (usually your house) will allow and then only take the $20,000 for now. There are NO set payments, like a mortgage; instead you pay what you want (but interest always has to be paid each month) as you want. So, let's say you used $10,000 of your L of C and then paid it off in 3 months, so you'd have $75,000 waiting for your use that you pay NOTHING on unless you touch into it. Get it?? Hope that helps!! |
