I am researching Haities adoptions.My husband and i are intersetd in adopting from Haities.We have been researching alot of countries but.Haities is where we are being led to.We will not proceed with an adoption until next year but i would love to hear feedback on agencies to use,
The process and how long the adoption takes.Also about travel or escort options.My husband and i have 2 beautiful children from India so we are not new to international adoption.Our agency we used for them does not have the haities program.

I'm Canadian, so can't help with the agency, but Haiti is an excellent country to adopt from... It is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere.... It was my country of choice, but you have to be 35! (older than any country I know of)

The need there is so great...

Travel and escorts are available, but it's strongly recommended you go there to see your child's homeland...

Actually you don't have to be 35, though that is the official law.They make "exceptions" The director of social services is approving families where:
1 parent is at least 28 years old.
Single mothers who are at least 30 years old
Families who have no more than 3 biological children
Couples married 5+ years.

Travel is required by a few agencies/orphanages, but some do allow escort. Haiti does not require travel, but some of the agencies do.
