We are almost done with our adoption process of our first child (and most likely not the last) and are hoping to find other families who have adopted kids from Haiti who now live in the south (TN especially)

Hi. My husband and I live in Nashville and are currently adopting from Haiti. We are hoping to travel soon. This will be our first child as well! I am excited to meet someone else in the area going thru the same process!

Greetings, My husband and I are in the beginnings of adopting a little girl, Atemise, from Les Cayes, Haiti. We are adoping through our Haitian friends who are church planters and have a small orphanage in Haiti. We would love to hear of your experiences and maybe help with the international information. We haven't heard from the DHS-CIS yet for our finger printing and we are just submitting our homestudy paper work. Yesterday another Haitian friend from Miami called and said the lawyer in Haiti wants to know if we want Atemise to have our last name so he can finalize his paper work. We are overwhelmed with Joy. Now for us to have our act together with the US and Immigration stuff. Love to hear from you for your experience would be very helpful. We live right outside of Charlotte, NC in Matthews.

We have been to Haiti and are working on some language but not very good. But have a lot of resources to maybe assist.
