I don't know if this would be useful to you. I am haitian and would like to offer a suggestion. Most haitian swear by an oil called "Huile Mascuti" for hair care. It is in fact great for black hair. It can be found in the US in haitian neighborhoods. But i believe it is also referred to as palma cristi by american hair supply companies. Better quality hair products often feature this ingredient in their products. Otherwise, unlike Caucasian hair, black hair does well with heavy moisturizers, pomades, and moisturizing shampoos.
