I'm new to the forum so apologies if this question has already been asked. I will be moving to the ottawa area and wondered if there were any adoption support groups that meet there.

I'm in the West, so I can't help...but, you may wish to contact some of the local agencies, I'm sure they'd know of a group if there was one

Hi Paula,

Welcome..I'm in Ottawa :-)

Also in terms of support groups, the biggest one is Open Door Society www.odsottawa.ca They are usually quiet in the summer, but have many activities planned throughout the year.

If you are waiting to adopt, they have a WONDERFUL parents-in-waiting group, or if you have already adopted they have a Friday morning playgroup and lots of kids parties throughout the year..

Oh...then you should totally call them..they are alot of fun! The next get together is probably going to be Halloween, but sometimes they do a swimming/pizza party

What part of the city are you in? We are in the East end..PM me if you want more info about Ottawa or anything!
