My wife was born Starla Marie Taylor to Delores Taylor of Sydney Mines in Sept, 1962. She was removed from Delores and put up for adoption and was adopted in 1964 by a local couple.
We have located and met Delores, it was fine until my wife started asking about her biological father. The story kept changing, 1st she was raped, then no she wasn't, then yes, but it was date-rape, then no it was consensual but I don't remember who, etc. We finally just had to walk away from the whole mess.
My wife just wants to know who she is, just like all of you want to know. If her father doesn't want to meet, that's fine, she just wants some closure. The father, according to the non-identifying information, was a local man who was in the navy. He and Delores had a long term relationship and he left the town either before or just after my wife's birth. The most likely person is a man named James MacGillvery (we have a photograph of Delores sitting on a man's lap, and the picture says "Delores and Jimmy MacGillvery, summer 1962). If anyone can help us with this search, we would greatly appreciate it.
