today my mom recd info my brother filed a no contact veto with vital stats.it was very disappointing for both mom and myself.i just want you to know don if you read this we respect your decision.you have every right to do what you done but having said that i think you have closed yourself off to ever learning the truth and to getting to know at least your sister.i have been looking for you ever since i knew you existed and the only hope i had of finding you was through the release of info now there is nothing further for me to pursue.you have made it clear you want nothing to do with me and maybe one day you will change your mind.just keep in mind i had nothing to do with what happened to you i was a child myself.i wish you all the best in life and just know you have a sister who will always love you even though i will never have the chance to know you..

just wondering if anyone has some insight as to why an adoptee would not want to be found? can someone go through life not wondering ?i have a cpuple of friends who were searching for siblings and they were met with the same response not interested.i would appreciate any of your thoughts .

life is too short.through this process ive talked to alot of people who are searching and some will never find there birth families.for some they have found siblings but its too late for birthparents they have already passed.some have found birthparents names but choose not to contact them until they have children of their own and want to know medical history.dont they stop and think it will most likely be too late by then.people are getting older and probably wont be around when they decide the time is right.i know for me i stopped talking to one of our birthparents the day i found out about you.i blamed them and now they are no longer around.then i found out you dont want to be found and i ask myself was it worth all those years of blame.trust me life is too short and you dont want to realize one day it just wasnt worth it.

i just wanted you to know the process of requesting your info from vital stats was my idea and it was done for me.if your concern was a birthparent was going to track you down that was never going to happen.that info was going to be given to me for my search for you.i seen that as my only way of finding you.just so you know the only person who has been searching for you is me your sister.birthparents are not involved in any search.i dont know why you placed that veto on your info an explanation would of helped but just know if your concern was birthparents finding you that will never happen.

as a birth sibling i have no rights as to requesting info on a sibling.the only way it could of been done was a birthparent making the request.it took alot of convincing for this person to actually make the request.noone wants to upset your life i certainly dont.some sort of acknowledgement to me would be nice even if its gets lost.then i could put this to rest and let it go...

post adoption cannot contact you on my behalf.you have to contact them.viki walsh has a letter for you from me on your file but you need to contact them yourself.i hope someday you will do this.

basic family medical information is so important to know for yourself and any children you may have.i learned this evening another family member passed away last night.i myself feel fortunate to be in contact with a blood relative who can fill me in on these things.otherwise i would not know certain medical things i need to know.

few weeks ago i got email from a woman claiming that she had my brother in foster care and that he passed away at 4 months of age.turns out this is true and there was a mix up with the veto thing back in sept.at least i now know what happened to my brother and dont have to search anymore.good luck to all who continue to search.god bless.

i recently learned the information that was given to me by someone who claimed that my brother passed away as a baby was incorrect.it has been confirmed that he did in fact place a veto on his adoption info at vital stats therefore he is indeed alive..i will end my particular search here knowing he is alive and the rest is up to him.if you are reading this and i somehow think you are.i dont know what your issues and fears are but i know someday you will regret not reaching out to your sister.
