Searching sister

Hi Jodi You should also post this search under Ontario which is just below this site.As of Monday you should be able to apply for adoption records.Hopefully this will go through.Search for forms under servicesontario.ca.

I thought it might be important to note that I do not believe that birth relatives can obtain any additional information outside of the non-identifying info that was previously available. Only the birth mother or birth father and/or the adoptee can apply for the additional information that has been made available.

However, my guess is that as people become more informed and aware of the new Act, then it will initiate new searches by those who had not previously been looking and sites like this one will become more populated with Ontario adoptees and birth parents who are looking. So keep your fingers crossed and good luck!
