How About Cambodia?
We are wanting to adopt an Asian baby girl. We are 25 - so can't use China, and from Mississippi - can't use Korea. I am hoping someone here can shed some new light for me in Cambodian adoptions. What are some agencies you have used? Is it okay to adopt from Cambodia right now?
Any suggestions or advice or stories would be great! PM me with specifics! Melissa

At this point ...
... U.S. citizens cannot adopt from Cambodia. There is no indication as to when it may reopen.
If you are looking to adopt an Asian child, a good country to consider is Kazakhstan. It has Caucasian, Asian, and biracial Caucasian/Asian children available. The only drawback is that a fairly long stay in the country is sometimes necessary. Another possibility is Thailand, though there are not too many agencies working there and the waits can be a bit long. Sharon
