Cost of adoption
I was wondering what the fees for stepparent adoption in California? Is there a diffrent cost for diffrent counties (I am in Butte). I just got married and my DH and I want to start the procedure in the beginning of the year but we want to have a idea of what it may cost to file. I know what my lawyer fees will be but what about filing fees.

cost of adoption
Hi,
I just started the adoption process myself. You can fill out the forms on line. The initial fee I believe is 30.00 to submit the adoption request then, you need to speak with a social worker who will ask for several documents and then to open the investigation, the cost is 700.00 and that cost is in sonoma county.
