Foster Adoption in San Berdo County

When a child who meets your criteria is found that child's social worker will contact your social worker and review each other's files. If everything seems ok then your caseworker will present the child's file to you and if the child is older, the child will be given information about you. If both are interested then a meeting is set up. They don't prefer married or single - they do look at your support system though.

You may go broad (boy or girl, any race, ages 2-6) or you may be very precise (2 year old chinese baby girl). You will probably complete a questionnaire which will help you decide. The licensing process is somewhat long - it took us 9 months to complete our county adoption and state foster care licenses and we tried to be somewhat quick in getting everything done. The worst part of adoption is the waiting afterwards. We've been waiting seven months and aren't even looking for a baby.
