Hello,

I have been licensed through Families for Children for almost 18 months. I received info on potential placements (calls or emails about a child who was available for concurrent planning) up until April of this year and then they suddenly stopped. I am hoping to fost-adopt a baby (infant to 1 year) of either gender, either AA or biracial. I was told by two different SW that the reason I haven't received any calls is that there just aren't a lot of AA babies available in Northern California right now.

Have any of you heard anything similar? If you have information about FF4C, please feel free to PM me. I don't have any contact with other foster parents, so I'm working in the dark here.

After reading several threads, I have decided to try to get licensed through Sacramento County because I really think it would be easier to find a placement. Can you tell me how long that process takes? Will I be able to use anything from my private agency application, such as references?
