ok so me and dh are officially cert as of 6/24 with no calls and i know that seems like nuthing however weve been foster cer for a year n aug..whats going on..i see all these adds looking like theres a need for children but then we have nuthing..i know our age range prob has sumthing to do with it 0-4 foster 0-2 adop..but in a year ud think we'd have a call. if ur on now pm me i want to know if anyone is going through our agency with good/bad feed back

Are you straight adoption? Do you know if your profile has been sent to committee on any children? How often do you talk to your CW or SW?

were foster/adopt..accepting children that have ru in mind and tpr . i have no idea if our profile has been sent and i only talk to my sw when needed..like if she needs sumthing from us or i have a question

You need to bug your sw, also start going to the websites were kids are listed and have your sw submit your homestudy

r u sure bugging is the right thing..sometime i feel bad like if i call then shes just gonna push my stuff to the side and say ill show her..and ive been going to the websites. I've been told however we can only look at children in CA. and the ones i've seen havent been right. I know its a long shot with our age range and we really just want one child to start off with and most are sib sets or have severe disablities. do u know any web sites..ive been looking at the ca heart galleries, adopt us kids, ca kids connections, and of course the one on here. ur advice is greatly appreciated. thank u ladies.

did you license with an agency, or the county? if you went agency, you might be in for a long wait...as the county tries to place with their families first. i am sure you have been to cakidsconnection.com. it is the list of children available in CA. BUT...one thing many people don't know is that agencies have access to a section of this site you do not....there are more children on the confidential site...and i know our agency always said we were more than welcome to come to the office to view it...so you may want to start there. if you still hit a dead end, you may want to switch over to the county, rather than a FFA (private agency) if you have not already done so. in many areas, there is no shortage of kiddos in care that young...but i think they tend to go to county homes first.

thanks for the advice..im just sooo frustrated. i feel like im at a lost. i know good things come to thoes who wait. but im tired of waiting. i want to be a mommy sooo bad..sorry for the crybaby comming out lol..but its really erkking my nerves how i feel that our agency does us. and yes were with an ffa. i just dont know if i have the energy to switch to county. it tooks us forever with our ffa and to start over again i cant even think about it.

well weve gotten a few foster calls but they never work out and we've gotten an adoption call for three kids but dh said no to that..one of the workers at our agency said that they may split them up which breaks my heart but i told her in the event that they did our door would b open. it sad and i pray everyday someone will open there heart to those beautiful children. its a long shot for us to get one because since there in our agency its open to us but since no one was willing to tk them in i believe they will open the adoption up to the whole county. is that how it works??thanks for checking im just praying eveyday.
