Question about Foster/Adopt
Hi,
New to this forum and arena of adoption as well. I saw a child on a CA photolisting yesterday (8 year old girl) available for adoption. We do not have homestudy or any agency at this point. She is also in a different county then where we live. Is it possible to adopt out of county? Also, is there any chance to adopt a child when you are not "paper ready"? Thanks, D

Most won't even accept your interest if you do not have a completed homestudy. If you're seriously considering it, I'd call you local agencies or the county and get some more info about becoming adoptive parents.
I know some counties are funny about going to other counties, so I'd also ask that question when you call.
