we researched...

...we've been here before, only with a private agency. We shared our specifics with the county and were told that the homestudy would be available for placements within and outside of the county.

What smells fishy is that people are being placed on hold for one year, like some sort of punishment? What is the benefit? Maybe the families will just 'cave in' at some point during the 12 month time out? I just don't follow that reasoning. But, we'll see what happens.

well I was told at my initial interview that if I move forward, I was committing to just working with my county so I knew what I was getting myself into before the homestudy so I don't see where the problem is...You're with an AGENCY not the specific county
