Finally got the new Birth Certificates!

Just got the birth certificates for my children. This is an LA county case. It only took 16 months. The last thing to do is get the socials changed and then we will be forever done with the system. Just thought I would share with those still waiting.

May I ask if not having the birth certificate complicated anything in particular?

Yes, I want to know too (if not having htem complicated things).

Also, how did you get a TAX ID# or SS# without birth certificates? I need it for taxes.

I don't know how you get a TAX ID#, but I know you CAN NOT get a SS# without a birth certificate.
