Average Cost of Home Study

i have been looking online at different agencies, and i'm noticing a difference in cost of home studies from each agency.

would anyone mind PMing me and letting me know which agency you used and how much the home study cost? i'm seeing $600, $2000 and everything in between.

I could be wrong but I think it's free for foster parents???

Is this a private adoption or through foster care? I'm getting ready to adopt my FD and all fees will be waived (including the homestudy).
