De facto Laywer
I’m looking for some information on hiring a lawyer to help me with a .366 petition filed in response to the .26 hearing for the termination of my 3 foster kids birthmother’s rights. Last week I was granted de facto status and informed that I could have legal representation. At the time, I didn’t feel I needed it. However a few things have happened this past week that makes me feel more unsure that all the facts will be presented at the hearing. I’ve decided I need to talk to an attorney but I’m not sure even what type of attorney handles these cases. Any help you could give me would be great.
Thanks, Brandy |

Why not just file a JV 290 (Caregiver Information Form) and submit that? You don't even have to have de facto status for that and it allows you to communicate directly to the judge.
