Acknowledgement from the state
Does anyone know how long ti takes to get the acknowledgements from teh state. We have to wait for the moms to come back before they will put in the paper and stuff about the unknown dad.
Any one have any ideas???

~~We were called in June
~~I pick up our son form DPSS office (he came form bio family) the very next day, i met bio mom. ~~Bio mom signed away her rights the next day, she also waived her 30 right to change her mind. ~~ SW said we have to wait to get back the acknowledgement back frm the state to move on to TPR unknown fathers right, mom claims she has no idea who the father is. ~~ He has now been with us 2 months ~~

With our placement we had an unknown father also. In our case they had to notify the Indian tribes. They also will run something in the local newspapers. Not sure how long it will take you, but it took us 6 months just for that.
