Need advise-change in employment status
Hello
I need a little advise on how to handle my current situation. I am a prospective single parent and I have recently been matched with a sibling set of 3. I had the disclosure meeting last week and am hoping to meet the children next week. My situation is that I resigned my job last month before I got the call on the match and I have not told my SW yet. I was holding off until I had another job but the match has thrown things off. I have sufficient savings to be off for approx. a year and a half and at this point Id rather be home with the children than go back to work. Does anyone know if and how not having permanent employment will affect the process? Any advise on how to approach my SW? I want to have things in the open before proceeding but I dont want to put the match at risk. Thanks |

All I can say is be honest with the sw right away. The sw might like that you will be able to stay home with the children for a while.
