All this talk about not sharing the kid's names n such - then i get my first foster placement check.

On the window of the envelope below my name I see the child's name........ahhhh duh - this is a SMALL community. The mail carrier could be related to this child's family and now we have a SAFETY issue.

Any other county do the same ????

our child was given and alisis to use and that name appears on everything even the Dr.s and shuch, but i let those people know what we call him because that is the only name he responds too.

And on our checks it does show his name too but its the alisis they gave him but they only did that because he was a relinquishment

I'm in Cali too and my FD has her name listed right below mine as well.

There is NO privacy as far as I've seen. They've told me all the "private" info regarding bio parents and family, etc. And I'm sure all my "private" info is out there too.

Although the system sucks, I get past the privacy issue just knowing these kids are safer by being with us.
