Should I buy the van now or wait?

Well they finally TPR'd in my case in June. Of course the parents have filed an Appeal. Should I wait until we finalize to buy the van or go ahead and do it now while the appeal is still pending?

We have a sibling group of 3. Our cars can fit our family of 5 but leave no room for friends or extended family to come along.

One strong motivating factor is that this is the best time of the year to buy with all of the new models comming in.

However, I have no need or desire for a van if God forbid the children are removed.

What do you think? (I know this isn't the biggest decision in the world but we are struggeling with it.)

Straightblues.,

My husband and I arrived from our 1st trip from Poland meeting our 3 children,, 10,7, and 3.. the next weekend we came back, we went to our nearby car-dealer and bought a Kia Minivan,, We love it,, it is so roomy and is perfect for our Family, We picked a color ( Raspberry ) which our Polish last name translates into that!!
My advise is Go for it!!
Good luck.

I actually can't believe...even with just 2 kids...we did not get a van sooner. How selfish I was to make my step daughters sit in the back of my little Eclipse sports car!!

We currently have a Dodge Caravan, but are in the market for a new van. I too am looking at the Kia. I found myself saying..."I am really attracted to the 5 star crash rating and the side curtain air bags". Whoa...what happened to "How does the sterio sound, do you have this in red?" Guess that is being a mommy!

I have been converted...I LOVE my mini-van!!

Well we will own one for sure. The real question is do we do it now since they TPR's or do we wait for finalization. The apeal process could take awhile!

What are the chances the birth parents' rights could be reinstated? I was told by my CW a BP's rights would only be reinstated if they could prove their child is suffering great mentally and emotionally harm by the parental rights being terminated.

If the kids are living with you, I would say buy it now.

Best of luck,

Yash
