Placement Question
Hi
I just received my first placement two weeks ago. A little 6 week baby girl who is too cute. My question is that I am going through Orange County Social Services as a Foster Parent. The Bio Mom informed me at the visit yesterday that she is switching to Los Angeles Social Services. Would they take the baby from my home and place her in an L. A. foster home or would the two counties work together? Thanks for your help. ~Nicole |

Maybe I'm missing something, but why on earth would the Bio mom have the option of "switching"? Foster care isn't a nanny service, to be rearranged at her convience.
Although, if the outlook for reunification is good, but mom has had to move, they may be making the change to help her get her baby back. Call the child's worker to relay the statement and ask if a move is in the works. And I'll be really curious to hear the answer ![]() |
