Hi my boyfriend & I have been a licensed fp for almost 2 years now. We are trying to get licensed to adopt but am having problems with the homestudy. My ex-husband & I were licensed in Oregon & when I left him there was a complaint that I gave alcohol to our 13yr old foster son. I was told by the workers not to worry about it so I didn't. When my BF & I started doing foster care here in CA I told them & no big deal. Now that we want to be licensed to adopt the state adoptions is saying no because of this allegation. I finally got them to have another meeting w/ me about this because when they did the homestudy they didn't really do one, the worker was the same as my Mom & Dad's and I think she had already made up her mind before she even came out. I have my licensing lady from foster care coming to the meeting to talk with them about what kind of fp I am. Any way I was just wondering if any one nows what I can do, if anything.
