The wait is worth every minute!
Hi Pam, (Tuttles) nice to see you post again. I know that after we are placed we don't come here as often any more. (for obvious reasons...LOL) We have had our daughter almost 3 months now. She started preschool. She cries when I leave her. It is hard for me but I take it as a good sign that she is attaching. She keeps asking if I will be here when she gets off school. Makes me sick to think that she is just not sure.
Hang in there everyone who is still waiting...your child is out there. |

Hi From San Bernardino County
Hello! Tonight I read some very inspirational stories. We have only just begun and I know that we are going to have a very happy 2005. We are going to take it one day at a time. We decided at Orientation this week that we are OK with siblings, it would break my heart to break them up. We also decided that a child no matter the age needs us. We are looking forward to this roller coster ride, we just bought the tickets and now we are standing in line anxiously awaiting our turn. I think back on the movie "parenthood" and I think of Steve Martin's character while he is sitting in the auditorium and I think, now that is what it is all about, hang on for the ride otherwise you might miss an opportunity. Keep up the good work in these forums. I know I appreciate these lovely stories. We have to to do the Pride classes during the week due to work on Saturdays, so it will take longer than the 5-6 weeks. What is after Pride classes are they called diffrent things in other states (mapp)?
Cheers- Karen |

Congratulations! That is such a great story, we might not see you too many more times on the web now! You are going to have your hands full. I can't wait to possibly be in your shoes what a beautiful oppurtunity. What county are you in? It sounds like they have their act together. How long did it take you from the time you began PRIDE, do you recall?
