Letters to OBGYNs
In another forum subsection an adoptive mother wrote about finding her daughter through letters to obstetricians. Another person told me that certain states have laws agains doctors being the ones to connect adoptive parents and expectant mothers. Anyone know what the law is for California/

It's not against the law in California and if you're working with an agency or attorney they should be able to tell you which states are the best to mail to. Good luck! We just finished our mailing and believe it or not we got a call from a birthmom the very next day! It may not end up being a match for us...still investigating some unknown details...but I had been skeptical about the letters before and I quickly became a believer!
