My name is Ericka and my husband is Paul. We are intrested in adopting from Guatemala because we have heard of several couples that have had really wonderful experiences adopting from there. The only problem is we do not have the $25,000 it is gonna take. We are approved for adoption and foster care in Los Angeles County but there are very few infants that are not medically fragile. Anyway if anyone has any info on any grant avaliable please let me know. Thanks!

Hi Ericka,I don't have any info about grants but just wanted to say a word about medically fragile infants. We adopted 2 drug addicted babies who just happen to be bio sibs.Both born a little early (35 and 36 weeks) Both addicted to crack cocaine.The first one had some problems but with the exception of some speach issues he is a happy healthy 3.5 year old. The 2nd our beautiful little girl was perfect from day one.She is right on track in every way. A real joy they both are.While lots of times these babies have life long health problems some don't.
