I know that this may not be as important as finding an actual birth parent, however, my family is the type that keeps secrets. THere is not a single person left on my fathers family to talk to (he is a dead beat father) to confirm the "rumors" that my mother wont ever stop talking about. Here is the info:

My father "Terry Lee Bell" was born on Feb. 18, 1948 to Charles Bell and Helen Bell in Hayward, CA. However, my mother swears that the hidden secret is Helen is not the actual birth mother. And that Charles is the father and had a child from an affair and then Helen adopted him. Well, I just requested the birth certificate and it states Helen is the mother. So, is there anyway of seeing if this is a revised one (and a possible sealed one some place). Another odd thing. The birth certificate lists that she has 2 living children (other then Terry) and one live birth that but the child is no longer living. I only know of an older brother.

I should also mention, my father was born in Northern Ca but his parents never lived there. More to add to the family "rumors"
