I don't know if you can help me and my sisters find a half brother or not... Unfortnatley my dad's older and doesn't have a great memory of some vital details.

Here's what I posted on another thread just to see if you have any suggestions of where to even start.

Sometime in the Spring of 1959 my father, John M. Eberle, began working at Douglas Aircraft Company training people on the Thor Missle at Northop field & Santa Monica, CA. Your birthmom's name was Patricia, last name maybe Berele or something like that, who also worked at Douglas Aircraft Company at the Santa Monica Location) and he had a relationship with her.

She gave birth to what my dad heard was a baby boy and he believes it was 1960 or so (unfortunatly my dad is 76 (born in 1932) and doesn’t have much of a date/time type of memory- it had to been prior to Fall of 1961 because Dad already was working in Ethiopia for Ethiopian Airlines at that time.) Dad says Patricia B was a proud German woman & possibly Catholic and my dad wasn't so she wouldn’t/couldn’t marry him over family objections. He was madly in love with her and wanted to marry her. She may have lived in North of the Los Angeles airport on Maricopa Street or Road or etc.

Dad believes that you were born early and she didn't tell him until after the adoption because they had a fight when she was 6 month pregnant. We don’t even know if she listed John Eberle on your birth certificate prior to the adoption. John Eberle was from Montana (born in Idaho) & approx 28yrs old when you were born.

I have known I have an older half brother for years. My mother never wished to discuss it and I never got more information prior to her passing away.

Since it has never been discussed, I have only sketchy details. My Aunt was only 13 at the time and my grandmother has never mentioned it at all.

Is this enough to find if he could also be searching for my mother or her family? She was 15 at the time and has since passed away but *I* am interested in looking for him.

hi katy, i am not absolutely certain my birth-son was "formally" adopted by a stepmother. nonetheless, i am seeking his whereabouts in southern california, as i have not seen him since he was 12 years old. there was a very contentious custody case between my son's father and myself, mostly brought on by a new wife. bottom line, it was made impossible for me to see my son, and i beleive that 16 years is long enough for all to bury the hatchet. it is a 50-50 chance my son WAS adopted, as well as was not. i really don't know where to go, what to do, how to get started here, and you are my first contact in this direction. please help if you are able, as well as to ideas of what i may be doing on my own. you may also contact me if you wish at jjustuswoman@yahoo.com. any help would be greatly appreciated. joni
