Important Info For Adoptees Born In Orange County

just a little background, I was adopted out of L.A. County, but just before my parents finalized my adoption they moved to Orange Co. and so thats where my paperwork got filed.

About a month ago I hired a PI to help with my search, we were going to petition L.A. County... but when we found out we finilaized the adoption in orange Co. it was a SNAP!

All I had to do was get my adoptive Mom to send in a form (I'll scan it and post it here later) requesting ALL information including IDENTIFYING information.

2 weeks later (this last friday) I had, before me, the original relinquishment of parental rights form complete with her name and signature.

I'd been searching for 13 years... and that's all it took!

I'm not sure how or why they gave me this info, but I wanted to get this out in case they ever decide to change this policy.
