Hi Tina,
I am trying to find my adopted brother. He was adopted immediately after birth. I believe his d.o.b. was Feb. 9, 1965. Mother's name is Barbara Jean Critser (d.o.b. 11-20), Father's name is Steven Sanders (I know nothing about him at all). His given name was either Baby boy Sanders or Baby Boy Critser. He was born at Boothe Memorial Hospital in Oakland, Alameda County, California. My mother was placed at an unwed mother's home, there in Alameda County. The Children's Home Society did the adoption. I have been trying to find him for years but no such luck. My sister as well has been trying but still...no luck. Thanks so much in advance for any information you can give. OOh yeah, my mom said something about an altered birth certificate as well, changing his d.o.b. for some reason or another. Have a wonderful night. I am looking very forward to hearing back from you.

Hello, I'm looking for my half Brothers. We Share the same Father ,Gary Richard Freeman born 12/28/1935 and died 12/09/1979. My Brothers Birth names are, Bane Springer born 06/22/1956 in California and Carl Paul Freeman born 04/02/1958 in Los Angeles, California.
Their Mothers name is Katherine Baker. I have no clue as to what happen to Bane but I do have some paper work on Carl. I have a letter dated 06/06/1960 from County of Los Angeles Bureau of Public Assistance department of charities. It reads as follows...
Dear Mr. Freeman, This is to notify you that there has been a change in foster homes for Carl due to illness in the family of his foster Mother. Also, there has been a change of Child Welfare Workers and Mrs. Belle Hall will be working with you and Carl. She can be reached at Gilbert# 47711. It's signed Bonney L. Russell child welfare worker . At the top of the letter is a case number # 971963.

I see that you have many requests posted in response to your post that you can search CA for information. I hope that you can do one more. I am searching for my husband's birth parents (with his approval). He was born in Los Angeles County, CA on August 1, 1964. Officially his name was listed as "Baby Boy King". We managed to track down his foster mother and she confirmed a name on an old physical form - his name was listed as C L King. She told us that when he came to live with her, she was told my husband's name was Carl King and she sent us a picture of him when he first arrived at her home. In a search of the California Birth index, we found my husband listed 3 times, once as "King", once as "Jones" and once as "Stahl". No first name given on any of them. All three list the mother's maiden name as Jones. When I called California to try to locate the hospital he was born at (it has since closed and the records destroyed, I'm told), I was told that the baby would be given the last name the mother was using at birth (meaning her married name in our case). This has led us to believe that Stahl is his birth father's name.

Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Let me know if there is any other inforamtion you need to complete your search, if I have it, I will be happy to share it with you.

MICHAEL- you are exactly one month older than me! Have you checked with this lady from this forum? Her "name" is jodieegli and you can search for her using the search function. She states she can do searches in Canada. My search assistance is limited to the states. DO not pay money when you do not have to though! Did she live in the states at all? Do you know how old she was approx, when you were born?

For those who have a name, have you tried Zaba search yet?

(Be sure there are no spaces between the 1944 and the @yahoo.com. I type it in like this so the people who grab email addresses for spam cannot grab my address using their search programs. PHYLLIS - I think I had tried to search for info on your husbands adoption before. I will see in my notes and let you know. I do not believe I found anything.

FOR THOSE IN CALIFORNIA - Have you sent away for your non identifying information? They sometimes give great clues and if you build a good relationship they will give great clues over the phone as well but you must be discreet about it or they can get in trouble. Email me if you have questions.

SOOZIE- without a name for your sibling I cannot search. Sorry.

JUDY - if you have any other info about the adoption please email it and I will see what I can do. The name Golden is common and without a first name or more details that can help me to search I am afraid I cannot help much. I do know some Goldens though so it may be a start! They are African American and the closest one to me was born in the early 70's. (He, his wife and I attended college together.) He was born, I believe, near the bay area of California, maybe Alameda county? I can definetely see if his mother or aunts had any children for you. Please send me what you know so I can help!

ALL - I should have time the next three days to do some digging and see what I can come up with. First come first served but I will do my best for you and just as with those before you I do not share your info with ANYONE without your explicit permission. I also do not contact anyone directly about you or your adoptions situations. I expected that when I shared my info with other angels and would expect the same with my current searches for my family members.

Born in Alameda California
Mothers maiden name given at time of birth Marrero.

Julian Reyes born 7/15/74
Born in Los Angeles California
Mothers maiden name given at time of birth Castro.

My mom says that the doctors messed up on her maiden name at the time. So that is why there are 2 different maiden's names.

Thanks Tina, I sent jodieegli an email, i am waiting for a reply.
To my understanding my Bmom was about 18 when i was adopted. At the time she was staying at the motel that my adoptive parents was managing in Blythe Ca.
My adoptive parents have since past on, father in 1981, mother 1996, to my knowledge i do not have any brothers or sisters either.
