Los Angeles County Records
I have an older, adopted brother. He was adopted through the County of Los Angeles, Los Angeles. The actual adoption took place in the County. My adoptive parents lived in Glendale at the time. Where would the records be? Of the adoptions? I went to the juvenile court, and the court downtown, but did not get anywhere but the run around. This took place in 1961, although the final adoption may have occured in 1962.

Hello,
I was born in Los Angeles County and adopted, but my adoption was finalized in Multnomah County (Oregon).
My records are in Oregon and as far as I know I can only request my records from Oregon and not through CA since it was finalized in OR. Was your brother's adoption handled and finalized in CA? You can try a sibling waiver of concent through CA. You do have more options. PM me, I might be able to help more or atlease I'll try to. Take care

Try up in Sacramento. My brother was adopted in L.A.. I have been told archive records are in Sacramento, CA
